Founder and principal instructor at The Fat Brush Art Workshop. I hold a bachelor’s degree in Interior Design from Universidad Femenina de Mexico and a Diplome’ de Maitre de Formation de Pebeo in Art from Provence, France.

I also have two certifications in Children with Special Needs: Phsysical Disabilities and The Wellness Recovery Action Plan (WRAP) by NAMI Eastside (National Alliance on Mental Illness).

For 9 years I served as Art Instructor at schools in the Seattle Archdiocese, teaching a wide variety of creative expressions. Currenty I work as a Specialized Recreation Art Teacher at Moshier Community Art Center, where I guide students with special needs in creative expression and personal growth through art, and as an art instructor at Schack Art Center and The Circle Community Navigation.

Throughout my career, I have focused on creating and teaching art in ways that encourage self-expression, healing, and discovery.
Over the years, I have collaborated with many companies and organizations, including Sno-Isle Libraries, Everett Community College, WAGRO Foundation, Connect Casino Road and Keep Dreams Alive Foundation. At Providence Regional Medical Center in Everett, I have led the “Strokes for Stroke” program for three consecutive years, using art to support stroke survivors in their physical and emotional recovery.

As a Mexican artist, I remain deeply connected to my cultural roots. For the past thirteen years, I have created large-scale Day of the Dead altars for community festivals in Lynnwood, WA—offering opportunities for cultural dialogue and celebration. In 2022, I launched the international contest “Dress Like Frida with Recycled Materials,” which encourages sustainable creativity by inviting participants to design outfits inspired by Frida Kahlo and Diego Rivera using only recycled or discarded materials.

My personal artwork has been exhibited in venues including the Edmonds Art Festival (2024), "Aves!" at the Ward Museum of Wildfowl Art in Salisbury, MD (2021), “Glances from the Childhood” in Uruapan, Michoacán, Mexico (2022), and at Seattle Center, including a collaborative piece with Fulgencio Lazo (2019).
