Butterflies have been present in art since the Neolitic period (c. 5000 BC). We can find them decorating things in many old and recent cultures from around the world, often as symbols of freedom, transformation, life and hope. They can be found in Chinese paintings from the Yuan Dynasty and in Egyptian tombs. In the Renassaince the Italian artist Dosso Dossi used them to create “Jupiter Painting Butterflies” and more recently artists like Salvador Dali and Van Gogh used them in their work.
I love all the beautiful combination of colors and materials you can use to create butterflies and all the feelings you can express when you do it.

Podemos observar mariposas en representaciones artísticas desde el periodo Neolítico (c.5000 BC). Las podemos encontrar como parte de la decoración de algunas cosas en culturas antiguas y recientes alrededor del mundo, generalmente como símbolos de libertad, transformación, vida y esperanza. Podemos encontrarlas en pinturas chinas de la Dinastía Yuan y tumbas egipcias. En el Renacimiento el artista Dosso Dossi las utilizó para crear "Jupiter pintando mariposas" y más recientemente artistas como Salvador Dali y Van Gogh la utilizaron en algunas de sus obras de arte.
Me encantan las combinaciones de colores y materiales que puedes utilizar para pintar mariposas y también todos los sentimientos que puedes transmitir cuando las creas.
